History
Nestled away by the road between Ellesmere and Shrewsbury this quaint 18th century inn is run by Robert Lester, owner of the acclaimed race horse "Iris' Gift". Robert is no stranger to the industry as his previous residence was at The Red Cow in Nantwhich where he spent three and a half years. He is also a well known character within the horse racing industry.
Inside the Inn a warm welcome awaits, fresh flowers, candles, open log fires and a selection of magazines provide the perfect setting to unwind and relax on a cold winter’s night. Come summer the terrace is in full bloom, the patio doors are swung open with the sun beaming into the garden room, making breakfast on the terrace the perfect way to start the day. The snug is decorated with racing memorabilia such as trophies won by "Iris' Gift", along side numerous paintings and photographs of Roberts current and pervious horses.
